(May 15, 2019) Dante Hall received a lot of recognition during his 8-season NFL playing career for racking up return yards and scores against opposing teams. On Saturday, June 8, Hall will be recognized yet again when he is the Honorary Starter of the Menards NHRA Nationals presented by Minties at Heartland Motorsports Park. His role will place him on the starting line between two 10,000 horsepower Top Fuel Dragsters when they take the green light.
Hall and other Chiefs Ambassadors are part of a charity program at this year’s NHRA race in Topeka that is raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City. The Ambassadors are hosting a VIP Tent near the starting line that will have food and beverage hospitality, along with fan favorite autograph sessions featuring Chiefs greats Christian Okoye, Bill Maas, Tim Grunhard, Kendall Gammon, Dave Lindstrom, JC Pearson, and others. The Chiefs Cheerleaders and mascot, KC Wolf, will also be there.
Fans can participate and help support Big Brothers Big Sisters by purchasing passes to the Chiefs Ambassadors tent on Saturday and Sunday of the NHRA national event – June 8 & 9. Admission passes to the VIP tent include a catered lunch buffet on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. A cash bar will be set up for guests as well. Participants in the VIP tent will enjoy a private viewing area close to the starting line. On top of general admission or reserved tickets, passes to the Chiefs Ambassadors VIP tent are available while supplies last at $125/day or $225 for the Saturday & Sunday combo pass and can be purchased by visiting heartlandmotorsports.us/nhra or calling Heartland Motorsports Park at (785) 861-7899.
Hall, who set multiple NFL and Kansas City Chiefs team records during his playing career, will be in the Chiefs Ambassadors tent from 12:00-4:00pm to sign autographs between Top Fuel Dragster and Nitro Funny Car runs.
